Currently sitting in 3rd place but 1st is attainable.... trade deadline next week, free agent freeze Sept 1.  Keep 8 players each year, no strings on kept players.

Leading Runs by 5, currently 20 K's behind leader, and 1 save behind leader.  Doing well in other categories but these are the most I'm competing in.  Looking to bolster my production for the stretch run and have a couple of trades in discussion but looking for input.

Another owner wants Upton pretty bad and has offered up D Ortiz and C Hart for him.  Im not sure about Harts production with his injury... should I target Ortiz and T colvin or offer him a package of Wood/Upton/Harper for Ortiz/Colvin/Scherzer or forget Colvin and take Hart in the deal.... or my ultimate dilemma ... keep Upton and hope I have enough to make up the difference?

His lineup is Suzuki, I Davis, Uggla, Reynolds, Reyes, Swisher, Hart, Colvin, Ortiz, Piniero, Gallardo, Scherzer, Kuroda, Capps, Laporta, Burnett, Padilla, B Anderson, Leake, Morales.

The other guy is hung up though, now...and is wanting something extra...with the current offer above - do I owe more in this deal or what?  Am I robbing him?  Or am I overvaluing Heyward and Wieters in thinking this is a pretty close deal in value?

I moved Albert Friday night in exchange for Lincecum, Ellsbury, and an extra round 1 and round 3 pick in next year's draft....not too shabby of a haul, especially in a dynasty league.  We carry 28 players and cut back to at least 25 prior to each season's draft (the draft is three rounds).  I now have 5 picks in that draft, meaning I can cut to 23 and use the picks OR bundle up a couple of picks to jockey for better draft position...

Thoughts on the deal??  I got more than I thought I'd get...initially the guy offered me Lincecum for Pujols straight up - and I kept dragging my feet and he finally kept adding pieces...all three of the other pieces were added gradually throughout the day on Friday, until I finally pulled the trigger around 6PM that night.

Don't know if any of you guys play Scoresheet Baseball...but it's a simulation game based on player performance from week to week...set lineups, rotation, bullpen, and defense factors in, etc...

 

anyway - I've got Derek Lee and Ike Davis at 1B (And this is a keeper league - generally keep 13 MLB players and you can keep prospects, but you lose picks starting with last round of draft and moving forward).

 

Anyway....My pitchers are dropping like flies...I think I have about 8 active pitchers right now, and you really need at least 10 and preferably about 12....

 

I inquired about Mujica as an arm out of the pen for me...right now my setup guy is Gregerson and closer is Broxton - so Mujica would be a guy I'd slot to pitch earlier than Gregerson (innings 6/7). 

 

So the guy offered me Mujica for Lee straight up.  Is it worth it?  Right now I have Davis in the lineup at 1B vs. RHP and Lee vs. LHP.

Man, I don't know. I still have faith in him, at least at that value, but that's me. I would pick him up in any decent size league if dropped, but I guess it depends on my roster and on how many players I can hold that aren't SPs and RPs.

Here's the latest offer:  Lincecum and Ellsbury for Pujols.  Am I stupid to shoot this down?  I could slide Butler to 1B and have a dominant OF once Ellsbury is healthy (sounds like he's close).

 i tried to get andrew bailey but the owner was too high on him.

 drew storen is unavailibe ,  this league is a 20 team dynasty so virtually all prospects are gone . i have guys on my lineup who will not make a contribution this year such as casey kelly ,ryan perry(perry actually has a few saves for me  and a nice ERA and WHIP) , travis snider , chris coghlan, and mike minor.

  anytime you go searching for a category such as saves owners try to guage you for as much as they can. in a dynasty league like this im not prepared to over pay for a player that may only be a closer for one or two seasons.

 i have many OFs  but none are great trade bait .  denard span could be attractive to someone because of the steals  but my steals could also use some improvement . i have braun and would never trade him , i was lucky to get him in the 1st rd !

 both guys are undderated right now but have nice potential moving forward.  my team is very young and right now teetering between 3rd and 4th in this 20 team league

 the only reason i drafted delarosa was for K's and i am  doing decent n K's 

But no way do you give up Hughes, and I wouldn't trade Latos at this point either.
