You're starting a dynasty league and you have the #1 overall pick. Do you pick the 30 year old Albert Pujols like so many have done before you the past 5 years? Or is it time to build on a new cornerstone?
If it's a Keeper league, I am assuming I can only keep a guy for 3 years. To which I would say, sure, Pujols makes a lot of sense.
But if it's a Dynasty league, where I can keep all my guys forever, personally I would go with someone else. I mean, I am in it for the long haul, so I want production for 10-12 years. I'd probably go with CarGo or Tulo, but hey, I'm also a Rockies fan (which quite frankly plays into it when talking about dynasty leagues I think). Of course, Joey Votto, Ryan Braun, and a host of others come to mind too.

I still go Pujols….I have been working on a ranking formula that takes statistics, age, and player position into accountability…Pujols is still at the top of my list.
My top 10 position players going into 2011 are (I'm still projecting out pitchers, this formula allows pitchers/batters to be weighted against each other pretty evenly). So….what do you guys think? I'm open to being blasted for this top 10 or you are always welcome to just agree with me….
