Anyone out there who has an opening, I'd love to add another team into my schedule, lol.

Or, of course, anyone starting up a new league, I'd be very interested.

Thanks!

Bones – maybe we can get some membership activity going here and start a dynasty?

I don't know if you're looking for a pay league or not…but I'm in an interesting league over at Scoresheet…We have a 10 team NL league, and had an owner quit on us.  The way Scoresheet works…basically is:

1. You keep 13 players from year to year (not counting any prospects you keep).  You can also trade for other team's keeper spots, so you can keep more than that if you get a protected spot from a team.

2. Scoresheet runs simulations every week…you play 6 or 7 games per week basically.  Set your lineup vs. LHP and RHP, you have pinch hit settings, baserunning settings for steals, bunt settings, etc.  This game also factors in defense…so you have defensive sub settings as well.

3. Set your rotation and bullpen.

4. Draft and keep (or trade) prospects.

5. There is an allowance for AL players…each team can keep up to 2 AL players per year (you can carry more in season, but only keep 2).  So that basically limits us to 20 big leaguers from the AL in a season.  For example, I have Teixeira, Aaron Crow, and Alcides Escobar…I'm planning to keep Tex and Escobar.  If I can't trade Crow to someone who would keep him, Crow would no longer exist in our league unless he winds up in the NL at some point.

Anyway…if you are interested…let me know…it's a fun group of guys and an active league for trades, etc.  Right now we are looking at having to go into the year with Scoresheet running the team for us, which means no trades with that team, etc.  This particular league has been around forever…I think like 20 years.  I took over my team prior to the 2006 season…so this will be year 6 for me personally.  Still haven't won it…but lost in the World Series in 2009 and then this past year I was the wild card and took the eventual champ to the bottom of the 9th in game 7 of the playoffs…The available team just missed being the wild card…I got hot at the end and passed his team up…he finished just like 3 games out of the playoffs, so not a bad team.

Here is the ad we have running on the Scoresheet site for the team now:

Hello all – Recently the Sandlot-143 league had lost an owner who left behind a team (Team 7) that finished 3 games out of the Wild-Card and second in their division. A couple of the players that are on this potential playoff team include Jamie Garcia, Madison Bumgarner, Roy Oswalt, Miguel Cabrerra, Martin Prado and Carlos Gonzalez. The previous owner kept his team in contention every year and there is a lot of talent on the team.

This league is the most active league I've seen in my years of playing Scoresheet baseball which keeps it interesting on a week to week basis. The sooner someone picks up the team the sooner you can make adjustments to the roster and start enjoying the off-season flurry of trades.

Beam me up Scotty!  Sounds good, especially being a Giants and Rockies fan I like the idea of having Bumgarner and Cargo.  How do we proceed?

So Bob, I just went to the Scoresheet website, and all I can say is, "Wow."  This looks like a lot of fun….

It's not cheap…it's about $80 to play per year…but I think for new players, it's about half that…if you're really interested – shoot me an email at bobellis75@yahoo.com and let's talk…I'm sure the other owners would be glad to have you aboard (I'd need to run it by them, but I don't foresee any problem).

Gag me, who wouldn't be interested in THAT team!?  I'd take it if it was still available.

No kidding "bus."  Bob and I have wanted more traffic, but it doesn't come very often.  Sometimes I think the more I write the more I drive away.

I've been talking with one of the administrators lately though, and they are starting to work on some things.  I think the traffic will come; if not this year then certainly next.  So I'd encourage you to stick around, because like you said, it would be nice to have some serious posters here.

We did do a redraft league last year and are doing it again this.  Want to join?

So is that team still available in your league?

My team now looks like this after the draft, Trades & FA

C-Carlos Santana
1B-Miguel Cabrera
2B- Dustin Pedroia
3B-Michael Young
SS-Erick Aybar
IF-Dustin Ackley
OF-Jacoby Ellsbury
OF-Josh Hamilton
OF-Ben Revere
OF-Jason Bourgeois
Util-Dee Gordon
Util-Billy Butler
BN-Bryce Harper, Anthony Rendon, Jurickson Profar, Robert Andino, Alex Presley

SP-Justin Verlander, Jered Weaver, Brandon Beachy, Chris Carpenter, Gio Gonzalez, Jordan Zimmermann, Jeremy Hellickson
