In a dynasty league, I was offered BJ Upton for my McLouth and prospect Angel Villalona. I am big on McLouth but I accepted it because I think that Bossman's ceiling is a lot higher. Everything I rread about the prospect is conflicting and I figured he is a long ways away so I didnt have trouble letting him go.

how did i do on that deal?

oh yea, this is first post here.. same dude from footballxtreme lol.. since I know some leaguemates are over there and none of them are here yet, help on this simple question.. in a start TWO qb league, where do the top two QB get drafted in the rookie draft? I know they will be in the first round, but not sure how high they will go.

Hope everyones having a good season thus far. I will be back on the forums more now that I have a break before summer school

i think its a good trade to get upton , you have it right here.

the thing that i measure in dynasty is how dynamic a player can be and bj upton clearlyhas the higher ceiling of all 3 players

imnot sure how deep your league is or how many minor leaguers your roter will support but im with you in knowing that prospect is far away and im sure you can find a decent minor leaguer to fill his spot..

let me know some of your league specs and ill throw some minor league names at you from who is availible.

i am also in the football site under the same name .. hoping this site gets to be as good and reliable as the football !

I am definitely happy with getting Bossman Jr… I do think I would have got Upton straight up for McLouth now that I think about it, but oh well

no worries . its not a big loss losing that prospect ..

i believe Mclouth has his stats drop all season .

McLouth had a great season last year due in part that he was hitting at the top of the Order and getting on be more.(he has been hitting 3rd or 4th most of the seaosn )

also he was clearly seeing better pitches last season with jason bay hitting inthe meat of the order . adam laroche or brandon moss arent scaring teams into pitching to McLouth the way they did in the past ( Pirates #3 hitters are hitting 263 this season as opposed to 275 last season and #4 hitters are hitting a paltry 227 whereas last season #4 hitters were hitting 293 for the Pirates largely due to the fact jason bay had a great few months in pittsburgh )

the end result far outweighs the means here .. dont feel gilty about losing Villalona .. its easy to drink the cool aid on a guy who is projected to be a miggy cabrera type but he hasnt proven anythng above AA ball ..

id do some scouting and find myself another 3rd Base prospect as im sure you now have a vacancy
