Trading Pujols..? What should I get?

Iam asking this about two league/rosters really…. and without getting into too much detail about either league (which is usually a must to answer these questions), answer it vaguely if need be….

What two caliber type players should I get if I want to trade Pujols in a dynasty league(s)?

And to keep it vague, as this can help others, assume I have holes everywhere but Catcher :) Maybe throw out a hitter/SP combo, or a infield guy and an outfield guy? Mix it up and give me a couple pairs I can look at (and of course the guy in my league might not have both players, but this will give me a value to go off.. just looking for baseline values in a 2-for-1 for Pujols)…

Thanks!

Smitty…I don't know if you remember me asking this same question last season in a dynasty league…but I wound up moving Pujols and getting Lincecum, Ellsbury (who never really wound up coming off the DL last year, but it's a dynasty), and extra first and third round pick in our short draft this season.  So I got arguably the best pitcher in MLB, a young speedster who should score 100 runs and swipe 40 bases, and now in our three round draft this year, I'm sitting with two first rounders, a second rounder, and two third rounders.  I'm going to try and bundle a couple of picks together and move up in the draft again…or may use them with a player to trade for an upgrade somewhere.

Losing Albert sucked…but I had Billy Butler to slide into first base (drop off, but still a solid hitter) and as it turned out, my underperforming team made a huge run after this trade and I wound up winning the whole thing….

Sounds like bobellis knows what he's doing!

Did you pull off the Nuggets-Knicks trade last week?  N.Y. Nuggets are 4-1 since shipping off 'Melo.  Sounds like what Bob did with this trade last year.

I don't know…time will tell if I know what I'm doing!  it's a dynasty league…so we'll see what happens this year.  But I was doing LOUSY with Pujols, so I figured what the heck….

I traded Heyward and Pujols both last year…I can't remember what I bundled with Heyward, but I wound up with Mauer.

And yeah…as long as that Nuggets trade keeps looking brilliant, I'll take credit…. Laughing

Ok, I'm going to see what I can get youth-wise and I'll come back with it…

If i can't get what I want, in either league, I'm keeping him. For now. You guys rock, thanks!

well worst case scenario if you can't find a trade partner is you have Pujols on your team…and that's not a bad guy to have in yuor lineup….

Nah, I kept him. I just want too much I think… which is fine, as said above, not a bad thing to roll into 2011 with the HR machine.

I would aim for an elite starting pitcher, an up-and-coming 1B, and either a top-notch OF or reliever……

I decided to ride the wave. I just can't get enough, so I stopped looking. If my team needs a spark after a few weeks, I'm going to attack a trade using your advice. Thanks, buddy.
