Wright or Sizemore?

I'm in a dynasty league and I have David Wright. I have been offered Grady Sizemore for him. Either one will be in my hitter slot, as our league allows for one flex type hitter. Should I do this trade? The scoring is fairly standard.

I have them ranked fairly similiar on my lists, but i have David Wright ahead of Grady. I would not accept that deal. By the end of the season David Wright should have better numbers than Sizemore.

Also dont forget Sizemore is an OF and Wright is a 3B, OF has a lot more depth than 3B. I would take a Elite third baseman over an elite outfielder.

Good reasoning. Thanks. The position flexibility will help you are right. I guess I'm trying to talk myself into getting Sizemore because Im a fan.

Wright. He is going to have a big year!

I think both Sizemore and Wright are close and both should have big years. The position flexibility definitely gives Wright the edge if you can use that flexibility, but I think Sizemore could have a bigger year than most think. I like the idea of trading down this year and grabbing Sizemore without having to technically reach.

You will be more happy with Wright by the end of the year.

I like Sizemore better. Does that help confuse the situation even more? :)

I would also keep David Wright.  Sizemore is quite a player, and contributes both good HR and stolen bases, but his batting average has steadily declined over the past three years for some reason.

Wright might only give you half of Sizemore's stolen bases, but he has better potential in HRs, RBI, and BA.

At last count, it is estimated that the 2009 NY Yankees team salary will significantly exceed the GDP of at least 9 separate countries.

Wright. He's the #1 3B and a top 5 overall hitter for 2009, IMO.

Thanks Smitty,

As much as I love talking football, I'm always down for some baseball talk. And I promise no Pierre Thomas plugs!…except for the one I already left.
