Just did a spotlight on Gordon, and you can see all of the worthy stats there.  The question is, after 2 brutal years in 2009 and 2010, is this just a fluke, or has he arrived to stay?

The other part of the equation will be whether he retains his 3B eligibility next year.  In my main draft league I got caught at the end of an early unexpected 3B run, and the cupboard was pretty empty at this position.  I took a flyer on Gordon and it paid off.  But there were times in those first 2 months when I was tempted to hit the drop button and go in another direction.  But with so many 3B injuries in the early part of the year, it didn't seem wise.  Paid off listening to myself for a change, lol.

Anyways, if he is only OF eligible, he drops way down my list.  But for this year at least, he FINALLY paid off.

Man…this was a long time coming for us KC fans.  I hadn't completely given up hope on the guy before this season, but he did seem to have a certain swagger about him this last winter and spring….he turned into a hell of a left fielder, and I think all the work he put in with Kevin Seitzer paid off big time (for him and Jeff Francouer).

Gordon SHOULD be a solid bat going forward…I don't know that he'll get better really, but I don't expect this year to be a fluke.  He should be a hell of a defensive player and move forward in his career swinging a nice bat….I look for him to stay in the 20-25 HR range and hit for decent average.  I'm kind of surprised he doesn't hit for more power, because he's a workout freak and has a monster swing…but some guys just hit line drives more than bombs I guess.

I'd really look for the guy to hit anywhere from .270 to .300 in most years, with 20 homers, 40 doubles, and a handful of steals…..

And this season has me rethinking the idea that I should seel my autographed Gordon bat…I think it might be a keeper now…
