Bobby Jenks Out In Chicago? Forums

In another episode of…"As the Closers Turn"…..it appears that Ozzie Guillen has suggested that Bobby Jenks might be benched in interim for either Matt Thornton or JJ Putz after Jenks rather horrid outing vs the Blue Jays on 5/9 when he allowed 4-hits, 4 R (3 ER), and a 3-R HR to Fred Lewis which spiked Jenks' ERA to 6.75 and a 2.17 WHIP.

Thornton is available in 35% of leagues (he also has impacted in holds) and Putz is out there in 97%, so definitely grab those while you can….

Well… it appears to be now a bullpen by committee situation.  Although, Guillen did elect to use Jenks in last night's (5/11) game vs. the Twins in which he retired them 1-2-3 (including a K) to earn his 6th save.  Another name in that factors into the equation is Sergio Santos, who is currently available in 97% of the leagues and might receive some Save Opportunities himself in the process….
