    Norris
has been pitching well above expectations so far as the #4 guy in
Houston’s rotation. In the preseason, I made some “safe” projections
for Norris…picking him for 170 innings and 169 strikeouts/77 walks, with
9 wins. I also projected a 1.43 WHIP and 4.42 ERA. But those last two
numbers aren’t why you drafted Norris (if you did draft him)…you
drafted him for the strikeouts – anything else is a bonus due to Norris
meeting his potential. So far he’s done … read more

FYI….just checked today's game and Norris has pitched 7 innings and struck out 11, while continuing to keep the walks down (only one issued).  Run and get this guy if you still can…..

He still could be available in a lot of leagues.

Don't let the overall numbers fool you.  He pitches for run supportive poor Houston, so he will not post 20 wins.  But if you need K's with decent ERA and WHIP, he could be a sneaky add.

Put together another good performance last night, shutting down his opponent for 7 strong innings, before giving up a 2 run HR in the 8th.  He followed that with a walk, was lifted, and the relief gave up another 2 run shot, so the numbers don't tell the whole story.  Other than the fact he had 8 strikeouts too.

that was probably his worst start in more than a month….but like you said, he still struck out 8 vs. only 3 walks.  In my spotlight, I pointed out he has to keep his walks down to keep being dominant, and he's pretty much done that all year, averaging 3.1 BB per 9 vs. a big-time 10.8 K per 9….if he keeps this up, he'll be good more often than bad.
