So yahoo came out with an article today about who should win the AL Cy Young award.  They trimmed the candidates down to CC Sabathia, Jerad Weaver, and Justin Verlander.

So who wins in the fantasy realm (which we all know is a different animal)?

I go with Verlander.  He gets the wins.  He gets the strikeouts.  But the biggest deal to me is the guy can throw a no-hitter every time he goes to the mound.  Hence, his ERA and WHIP are also quite good.  I play in one Roto league each year, and I always finish in the 2nd half in these 2 categories.  But this year I have Verlander on that squad, and I'm #1 in both, in large part due to him.  I would give Verlander the Fantasy AL Cy Young.
