As most of you know, this hurricane is barring down on the Northeast.  As such, 3 NE teams have rescheduled their games and have created Saturday double-headers.

If you are fighting for a playoff spot OR for a bye in week one, this could be an opportunity to pounce.  You may want to check your waiver wire for any players who could possibly start both ends of a doubleheader, so as to pad your statistics.  By this point in the season there is usually some bench space available for you to do this do to injury or unproductive players.

In my deepest league, the following players were available moments ago:

Mike Aviles, Boston, should get at least one start.

David DeJesus, Oakland, could start both.

John Buck, Florida, a catcher, so one start should be guaranteed.

Jarrod Saltalamacchia, Boston catcher, at least one start.

Jed Lowrie, Boston utility, could start two with Youkilis still out.

Eduardo Nunez, NYY, shoud get one start (they won't start A-Rod in both games coming off the DL).

Robert Andino, Baltimore 2B, been logging a lot of at-bats with Brian Roberts on the DL, could start both.

Brandon Allen, 1B Oakland, will probably only start one, but been swinging a hot bat the past 2 weeks.

Carlos Ruiz, Philly catcher, one start.

Mike Cameron, Florida OF, probably one start now that Logan Morrison is back up.

Nolan Reimold, has 86 at-bats the past month, I think the Orioles want to see what they got, could go two.

Gregg Dobbs, also has over 80 at-bats the past month for Florida at 3B, could start two.

THOSE ARE IN A DEEP LEAGUE.

I know in my more shallow leagues I have seen the likes of Josh Willingham and his 20+ HR's on the wire.  Worth checking out.

Scratch all your Phillies and Marlins from the above list.  Philly just rescheduled the 2nd game of their DH with the Marlins for Sept. 15.
