Obviously, Clayton Kershaw deserves mention too, as the two pitchers had pretty similiar stats.  No doubt, the AL winner will be Verlander and the NL will be Kershaw.  But for our purposes, we have to go with Verlander.  In the fantasy realm, he does edge out Clayton what with 4 more wins and a better K rate.  I'm sure owners of both were very happy this year however.

The big question for 2012 is in which order do you rank Verlander, Kershaw, and Halladay.  Not to mention Lincecum, Hernandez, and Cliff Lee.  Nice problem to have.  I think next season I am going to make sure and try to have one of these aces to anchor my staff.

OR, a sneaky play may be to wait a couple of rounds for Johan Santana and Adam Wainwright, assuming owners are hesitant to draft pitchers coming back from injury.

Wow, can't wait for 2012, and we're not even to the World Series yet!

I think Santana is done…..I'd take him late in a draft maybe.

Verlander is the best pitcher going in my opinion.  One guy that will be overlooked compared to some of the big guns next season will be Greinke because of his broken ribs to start the season and his slow start, which had him carrying an inflated ERA for a while.  But he wound up with a sub 4 ERA, 16 wins, and 200K in 170 IP (something like that).  So his K rate was pretty insane, and he always has a low walk rate as well…which generally will translate to lower ERA due to lack of baserunners.  He gave up a lot of homers early in the year though…which inflated his ERA although he was mowing guys down and had a low WHIP at the same time.
