I forgot about this one until the championship week of 3 of my leagues this past week.

This one is not for sentimental fools.

It's the drop of your starting pitchers.  If you have anyone pitching from Wednesday on, they are a candidate to be dropped for someone who will help you the rest of the week.  This applies to starting pitchers on Tuesdays who will not be the starter on Sunday also.

Jettison them.  Give 'em their final start and then add to help, ESPECIALLY if you need line-up help on Thursday.  You may also find a late season relief pitcher who can garner you a save or two the 2nd half of the week.  Peralta from Tampa Bay has put 5 saves in place of K. Farnsworth in Tampa Bay, and they are still in the wild card hunt.  A back-up catcher is a good idea too, since your starter may need more rest in September.

Anyways, it's another way to win.
