Fracture in forearm looks to keep him out 4-6 weeks (minimum).  Guessing Berkman goes to 1B and John Jay gets a lot more AB's in the Cards OF.  He might be worth picking up….he's hit the ball extremely well the last two seasons when given a chance.

That's funny, I just did a spotlight on this before looking at the forums.  Oh well, the #1 fantasy player deserves double coverage I imagine.

Only question is, are the Cards telling the truth about the length of his time away.  They haven't always been forthcoming with injury news.

Regardless, tough break in so many ways.  First for Albert of course.  What a terrible year to slump and get injured, what with trying for a new mega-contract.  Tough for the Cardinals, who have been snake-bit this season, although they have been blessed by Berkman's unexpected production.  And of course tough for fantasy owners; this is not an easy one to replace to say the least!

Good luck owners…

I have Pujols in our Xtreme league…yikes!

They are saying 4-6 weeks…I don't know…I imagine more like 8 weeks.  Maybe longer I suppose…forearm injury on a hitter is not good.

I had predicted the Brewers to win that division in the preseason…this should help that cause I suppose!

Yes, we traded early on.  I needed a 3B and you had a ton of them, so we exchanged Longoria for Pujols.  It sure was looking like you got the good part of that deal.  Until this.  Yuck.  Hate seeing good players go down, even if they are not on my fantasy team.

I had him in two dynasty leagues and refused to trade him in the end. A bad season is in store for me :)

You ain't done yet Smitty, and neither is Pujols.  He's in the freakin' line-up tonight…within a month of a fractured wrist!?  Are you kidding me?  The man is a machine.  I just bumped him from #16 overall to #5 based on him coming back so quick.  If he does anything in the first couple of days back, we might have to put him up to #1 again.  Simply unbelievable.
