I have been offered for Fielder and A. Wainwright for Pujols. Should I give up Pujols? I'm neither super strong nor weak at SP but would love to have Wainwright. Just not so sure i want to downgrade Pujols though? Help!

There's the old adage.. you must sacrifice excellence to get excellence….That applies here…I would make that deal, however, before going any further… Who are your other starters and what other starters are available as FAs in your league? Is it a keeper, re-draft, or dynasty league?
Without taking those variables into consideration…I would make that deal since Albert Pujols is w/in his prime if his back problems persist any further, it can cause several lingering issues….Fielder on the other hand hasn't neared his prime and is poised to equal or potentially even eclipse Pujols w/in the next 2-3 yrs….
Wainwright is obviously a front-line starter on a perennial contender, who impacts every pitching category and is on the rise….. 19-8, 212/66 in 233-innings, 2.63 ERA, 1.21 WHIP in '09 and last night already had a stellar outing to start the '10 proves he isn't a fluke…Especially since he was a former #1 pick….. Would be a win/win situation for both teams involved…..

Thanks for the advice everyone. Its a yearly league so no keepers. FA pool is slim and I could use the pitching so I did it. Thanks everyone.

Awesome you pulled the trigger on that one….Wainwright is now 3-0, 1.50 ERA, 22/5 K/BB, and a 0.75…. He was extremely impressive on Sunday (4/18) vs. the Mets…..
Unfortunately, Fielder has been struggling to start the '10 season, however, don't lose faith in him because he did the same in '09, but ended-up w/46 HRs, 141 RBIs, .299 BA, 1.014 OPS along w/110 BBs….. I project he'll equal or even exceed that output…Also, don't forget he won't be 26 until early May…So much upside still left in him and that is overwhelming to comprehend….
