We've hit February, pitchers and catchers report in 2 weeks, so it's time to make some adjustments in the pre-season rankings based on off-season news.  We've switched:

1)  Justin Upton UP to the #12 spot.  Seems to be a first rounder in everyone's book this year.

2)  Miguel Cabrera UP to #3.  Based on anticipated eligibility at 3B.

3)  Troy Tulowitzki UP to #4.  Based on position scarcity.  And he's a stud.

4)  Mike Stanton UP to #13.  He hit 34 HR's at age 21 last year and drove in 87 runs.  This year he has both Hanley Ramirez AND Jose Reyes hitting in front of him.  40 and 120 anyone?

5)  Evan Longoria UP to #14.  Young and the potential is too good to keep him ranked in the 20's.

6)  Mark Teixera DOWN to #23.  Is this low enough?  His numbers have steadily decreased the past 3 years.

7)  Ryan Braun UP to #22.  100 games with him is better than 150 with most outfielders.

8)  Pablo Sandoval DOWN to #48.  Off-season weight gain.

9)  Ian Kennedy DOWN to #50.  Had him ahead of Jon Lester, and that ain't right.

10)  YOU TELL ME….any others in our rankings that are way out of line?  Feel free to chime in and tell us where we are missing the ball.

I think Cabrera might be the #1….it's a toss up really between he, Albert, Tulo, Kemp.

I'm thinking the top 5 might be….

Cabrera

Kemp

Pujols

Tulo

Bautista

Yes, Braun will shoot back up, way up the charts.  As soon as I get home and get my chart of steps on making changes.  It's a 9 step process and I haven't done it for a few days…when that happens I tend to erase players!

But will adjust soon.
