You're always safe with Manny (as long as he's not going to be suspended for 50-games again)….. Especially considering this is a contract year for him and he's out to prove his worth for what could very well be a very lucrative long-term deal that would carry him until his retirement. He seems to have at least 2 peak years left and his stats should be impressive this season since he excels at the friendly confines of Dodger Stadium….
I project that he will end-up at 32 HRs, 117 RBIs, .965 OPs, and a BA clipping around .288. He seems to be more disciplined than ever, so he'll even have more walks compared to recent past (especially with the lethal players he's surrounded with)…..
Obviously, his career would be extended further (ala Frank Thomas and several others) if a AL team signs him after the '10 campaign so he could become a full-time DH…That naturally would reduce on wear and tear…..

I feel similar because he is like 37 now right? He could hurt ya in weekly lineup leagues and sit out many games. That's my 2cents. I dont trust him this year.

It appears that Manny has been hampered with a calf injury…. That is why he's been benched a couple of times for over the past week… Obviously something worth monitoring for now, but more than likely he will generate the "Manny" type numbers we've come to expect from him once he overcomes this latest ailment…..

I hope you're right.

Well… Manny didn't start on Sunday (4/18), however, he made his only plate appearance of the game…He clubbed the GW 2-1 of the Dodgers victory over the Giants….
He's always had the knack (whenever he's been in limited duty) to make all of ABs count and I don't see him slow down for several years to come…I believe he must go to AL and that will prolong his career even further…..
