Has anyone waited on pitching all together and only drafted skill positions and hitters? Can anyone tell me they win playing two start pitchers only without any early or even middle round drafting of pitching?

Yes I wait on all my pitchers if I can. Sometimes I wait until the very last rounds and load up on 2 start pitchers for weeks 1 and 2. Then I move on to weeks 3 and 4 after week 1 starts. I have won twice with this and lost the first season i tried it. It takes some serious dedication tho so get ready to be addicted to news and 2 start reports.

You can really load up on hitting this way if you stay on it.

Yea you really have to be good at it for it to work. I cant win this way but a guy in my league kills us each season with this approach and he has such good pitching it makes me sick. Teach me!

I might try it this year. Do you need at least one stud or is it better to dive into the strategy completely?

It's like I say in football.. any strategy can work, but it just depends on what you're good at. Like with football, waiting on WRs works if you are good at drafting WRs late. It's just that simple unfortunately.

I love drafting rookie runners in redraft leagues and I am good at finding sleeper rushers, so sometimes I like to go WR early in at least one or two leagues to try and build a power house squad.

So with baseball, if you are a good sleeper pitcher drafter, waiting on pitching is extremely advised. If you aren't good at that aspect, and we all can't be good at everything, well, then I say draft with balance.

Make sense?

So what are your strengths draft-wise? Let's start there.

It just depends on who falls but I just say you should wait until a SP just stands out and no more hitters look like guys you have to have. So after you load up on big time hitters and that starts thinning out then start grabbing SPs and RPs. You dont have to wait until the final rounds to use the strategy.
