David Wright (injured a good chunk of year, batting around .240 right now)

Ubaldo Jiminez (had been on fire, had a bad start the other day…play that up when you make an offer for him)

Ryan Howard (just starting to come out of a huge slump, only hitting .249 on the year)

Smitty - Howard seems to have a monster slump (at least one, usually a couple) every year.  He's streaky anyway…but he has these huge dips that can kill someone who owns him…in the end though…he generally puts up the big power numbers and drives in a ton.  I have him in one dynasty and actually benched him for about a week recently.  He seems to be waking up a little…hope he gets hot and ride him out this year.

I don't want to sound obnoxious, but I think "buy low" and "sell high" are more fantasy football orientations than baseball.  You guys have listed some great names here.  The problem is, in their owners minds, they ARE great.  I very rarely have had success trying to buy a Ryan Howard or a David Wright at a "low" cost.  More often, I get sworn at for "insulting the other owners intelligence."

Maybe I just don't play the trade game well enough, but I don't think I'd get the quality you are all mentioning at a discount price.  I'd be interested to know if any of you have pulled off such deals lately?
