I'll add more later.. but one major development was that Miguel Montero tore a meniscus during last night's game  and was just placed on the 15-day DL, however, he'll required surgery and nothing has been scheduled yet…

Therefore, Chris Snyder has since replaced Montero as the Dbacks starting catcher and promptly responded with a 2 run HR…. In fact..if anyone has Montero and is looking to replace him or just add a catcher to your squad..I wouldn't be hesistant to get Snyder (who should be available in 80-90% of any league)…

Snyder was the starting catcher for the Dbacks for a few seasons before he sustained a season ending surgery last year and has solid power potential…..

Yes…as a Dbacks fan it's major…He was off to such a scorching start w/signs that he wasn't going to slow down…He was vaulting himself to be w/in the top-5 catchers in all of baseball as well…

I must admit that I'm no major fan of Snyder, but he's exactly a slouch either….  There was a reason why the Dbacks decided to give him a 3-year contract (with an option for a 4th) after the '08 season and that he also generated a lot of trade interest throughout this past offseason (even after coming off a season ending injury of his own)…..

True, it might be a drop-off there, but it seems Snyder is trying to redeem himself and very well can hold his own…..

Cargo is day-to-day If you got weekly line-ups you might want a safer option.

Well…  Brian Fuentes just was placed on the DL for the Angels….   Therefore, Fernando Rodney has been inserted in to replace him…Rodney proved to be a decent closer w/the Tigers and should be available in more than 60% of your leagues, so definitely someone worth picking-up at this time….

Rodney has been 3-3 in his Save Opportunities and 1-0….His 6.00 ERA is deceptive because on 4/8 he gave-up 4-runs (including a 3-run blast to Delmon Yong) during 1-inning work….He since hasn't been scored upon….He exhibited the dominance last season when he had 37-saves for the Tigers and the Angels should win their fair share of games until Fuente returns….

Therefore, I don't see any way possible you can be wrong w/Rodney….He should provide you stability…..

Dbacks LF Conor Jackson was placed on the 15-Day DL today with a right hamstring pull… This more than likely means that Gerado Parra will re-inherited the starting role in LF as he last year which was his rookie campaign….

You must grab Parra now (he's available in over 82% of leagues) because as a LH batter, he's solid vs. both LH/RH pitching.. Last year he hit 5-HRs, 60-RBIs, .290 BA, 21-Doubles, 8-Triples, in 455 ABs….  He shall definitely pay MAJOR dividends during Jackson's absence, so add and start him freely…

De La Rosa likely headed to DL: Colorado Rockies
left-hander Jorge
De La Rosa
has a torn flexor band on the middle finger of his
pitching hand and will most likely be placed on the disabled list.
Manager Jim Tracy said after the Rockies' 5-3 loss to Arizona on Monday
that an MRI revealed the severity of the injury, which was initially
called a bone bruise. "The flexor tendon band has torn away from the
tendon. It's going to be a little time," Tracy said. "We're not involved
in a surgical situation. I would be remiss if I told you it was only
going to be (one start). I think it's going to be a little bit longer
than that."

Now Curtis Granderson is headed to the DL due to a groin injury he suffered during today's (5/1) game….

That means Brett Gardner will be shifted over to CF, and Marcus Thames/Randy Winn will be platooning in LF…..

Thames has thrived in recent years during part-time duty, do I certainly would jump on him immediately…Winn isn't too "shabby" either himself….
