What do you think about him, will he ever make the hall of fame after the news about him using steroids?
The Hall of Fame voters usually never vote for any player who is involved with steroids but who knows.

Being honest at least helps, but that's a great question. My guess is that the baseball world will have mercy on him because of how he handled it (or spun it :) )

I think any time you admit to steroids you have a slim shot of getting in. I hope he doesnt.

Yea it is a little early to say. I think he has a better shot than most that dance around the subject. I say yes in time he will get in.

My take is this – there are loads of other guys who have done it and we just don't know about it. I hate A-Fraud as much as the next guy, but I don't believe for a minute he is an isolated case and it's only a matter of time before the others are revealed one way or another. The sad part for him is that he felt he had to do it in spite of being one of the most talented players to ever play. What a mess for MLB.

20%? Is that too high?

20% is conservative, imo. I'd guess 33%+ – there is just too much money involved. I don't see how they'll ever get roids out.

So as that number declines will fantasy trends decline?

I'm somewhat of a conspiracist, so I've been inclined to believe that Bud Selig knew of the steriod abuse dating back to Mark McGwire's and Sammy Sosa's (even though it has never been officially revealed that he used them, but seems rather obvious) 1998 pursuit of Roger Maris' single season HR record…
The game lost several legions of fans during the "Lock Out" and Selig needed something to bring the fans back…There's the adage that "chicks love the long ball", but that applies to even the most casual of baseball fans in general…. Baseball got the "injection" it needed and had a major renaissance…
The "Mitchell Report" only exposed a small fraction of those who abuse PED and of course most of the list hasn't been published either…If the list was, it would obviously cast another major shadow on the game and would definitely mar Selig's tenure as commissioner… Baseball wouldn't be able to overcome that whatsoever….
One of the most unfortunate scars of the "Roids Era" in baseball was that some standards were falsely elevated… There are quite a few players who didn't use any kind of substance that had brilliant careers, but aren't in the Hall of Fame because during most of their high ceiling performance years they were "squashed" by their counterparts who were in fact taking PEDs, some of those abusers wrongly won awards, All Star appearances, etc…..
Now the question applies to AROD….. Will he get into the HoF? I believe he will..especially if he lasts another 5 more years and produces the clip he's done since it was revealed that he was using it and I'm certain he's been clean since then as well….
However, I'm among the minority that believes Pete Rose belongs in the HoF, but that's an entirely different subject…..
I've been meaning to for quite some time to write a steroid related article calling-out those who I believe did and are currently using roids…Expect that be published on this site w/in the next month or 2…..
