According to MLB.com, Manny Ramirez is “optimistic” that he will soon get a four-year contract thrown his way.
As far as we can tell, there are no signs that any kind of long-term deal is landing in Ramirez's lap any time soon. In fact, according to reports, Manny has only been hit with offers from the Dodgers this offseason, which was around $25 million for one-year.
Anyone heard different? Is Drew Rosenhaus Manny's agent :) ?

I am with ya. Manny is getting up there and I wont touc him this year personally.
Well, while I definitely will not overpay, I'm taking a chance on him this given where he is going to fall. Well worth the risk if the risk is small. Great topic and with Manny nothing is certain.

I would not even think about giving Manny a 4 year contract.
Yep, but i still like him this year because people are so down on him. What players do you consider to be right around his value if lets say i wanted to trade for Manny low?
I consider Jermaine Dye, Mags, McLouth, Ortiz around his value.

I am high on Ortiz this year. I might even reach for him to ensure i get him.
As a Red Sox fan, I can't say there is any love lost for the guy based on how he shot his way out of town last season. Rosehaus had a lot to do with that, but I think the way it went down left a lot of teams afraid to invest in him – and honestly, how many teams can really afford to put up 20-25 million for a single player anyway? Being a horrible outfeilder, the AL makes the most sense from a pure baseball persepective, but I don't see a fit anywhere in the AL at this point. Should be interesting to see what happens.
