Every year when a player is struggling, I read an expert who says "stash him on your bench until he turns it around" when it comes to name players.
Well, last time I did that, the pitcher went out and threw a no-hitter! Thank you very much Francisco Liriano!!
So what to do with Mr. Carpenter, who is sporting an ERA over 9.00?

I will generally keep plugging my good pitchers in…but when a guy struggles game after game…you have to think about sitting him until he does show you something – even if you miss a no-hitter.

Well, I've kept sending him out there, and he isn't hurting me anymore. Now if the Cards could just score in his games and get him some wins!
His ERA, WHIP, and K's have all been fine lately. Glad I held on. But then again, it's Chris Carpenter. You HAVE to hold on to someone like that.
